The question was why would unions do this.

Answered with perhaps they are concerned about the direction of the country and how that affects their members.

To which was answered it makes the seem like they are just being a wing of the Dems.

To which I replied that's kind of an odd basis considering it's completely normal for them to actually make decisions based on what they actually support.

Now your claiming I am dropping the idea that they are doing this based on what they think is good for their members???

I'm am saying that simply because what they support happens to align with what the Dems support doesn't mean they are acting as an arm of the Dems.

Reminds me of being in an ethics class. If I don't support cooking children for dinner and the Dems happen to support the same thing....that doesnt mean I'm acting as an arm of the Dems.

That's an absolutely hyperbolic example but it's to make a point. I dont want to put words in your mouth but honestly your premise, that unions are just acting as an arm of the Dems and seemingly can't be making a decision on it's merits, really is making it appear you just want that to be true.

I mean honestly do unions more often than not align with the Dem??? Yes absolutely that has historically been true.

I'm not sure if that's historically true it's suddenly problematic that it's still true.
