For Apple it's a very convenient excuse to explain why Siri is so much worse than other phone assistants by just waving it away with "oh it's because we don't harvest your data" - which doesn't explain why Siri cannot complete simple actions.

I have no hard evidence to suggest it, but I believe that Apple is full of shit whenever they talk about privacy and security.
