What clckwrks said isn't cope in the slightest. It's an explanation for why the reddit title and the title in the video are disingenuous at best. The subject that Miyazaki is responding to in the video is not what's written in the title. Like he said, they were presenting the results of their rudimentary AI that was trying to evolve simulated characters into walking. They saw some of the attempts and thought "Hey, that's kinda creepy, maybe it could be used?" and presented it. That's what he was speaking out against.

All of that doesn't mean that Miyazaki is in favor of AI art, and that's not what clckwrks is suggesting. It just means that this video doesn't show that he's not in favor of AI art.

And yea there's the part where the studio producer says "So what is your intention" and they say "to make a machine that can draw like humans do". And then they cut to Miyazaki staring off into space and an unconnected voice over quote of him in a different location at a different time talking about humans losing faith in themselves.

I mean I'm reasonably sure he isn't appreciative of AI art. This video long predates the rise of AI art we've seen over the last few years, and worse it's made of vague insinuation and suggestions meant for you to draw a faulty conclusion that it's connected to a modern issue without thinking, because you trust that whoever watched the whole thing chose an accurate title.
