My question is about whether selling a stock at a loss and putting what's left into something more "guaranteed" to grow is worthwhile?

I've got some that have dropped by 50% or more and I'm wondering if it's even worth holding for the long term to see what happens or just take what I got and put it into better preforming ones to recover the loss.

In the grand scheme it's not a big loss. Sitting at -$280.
