I’m struggling to understand what point this graph defends - it demonstrates a rise in median incomes across time but doesn’t contextualize that for the reader. And you haven’t mobilized it in any meaningful way, that I can discern. I’m a bit confused as to what you think this graph communicates? Incomes don’t exist in a vacuum. But you’re correct in that it’s a simpler graph.
The pew research linked above lends itself much better to this debate, for better or for worse, depending upon your philosophical bent.
