As you say... there are *many* contributing factors. Biden's personal actions and decisions are certainly only *part* of what has driven it up. And they are arguably not even the most significant. But they do exist and they *did contribute* to *some* degree to the problem. And nothing he has done has really contributed significantly to the solution. Which is why people aren't running out and patting him on the back for the fact it it is now considerably lower and yet still holding him responsible for contributing to what caused it. It's a rational and defensible argument. Sure, there are the idiots who push silly propagandist narratives that rely on some form of "whatever happens during a President's term is his responsibility" which is often nonsense. I'm certainly not one of them and my assertion is certainly not that.
