We do rely on Latino immigrants for some low-skill sectors. However, people forgot that just 3-4 decades ago, these jobs were fully staffed by Americans and paid wages high enough for a comfortable working-class lifestyle. What happened is immigrants flooded these industries, wages and working conditions deteriorated, and Americans were pushed out. Now the Americans who were pushed out don’t want to return to these jobs because of how far job conditions have deteriorated.
