One observation I've made is the difference between some of my friends who have good credit vs poor/fair. There are so many predatory auto lots that will charge so much interest for a 10 year old car, the payments after insurance is more than someone with good credit getting a new car.

The whole system is fucked, especially when most of us just want something simple to get us from work and home. It took me forever to pay off my car and now I'm just holding on to it for dear life. Because the idea of signing up for another 3-5 year loan would wreck my life.
