Admirable but misguided. I don't think politicians are going to learn this lesson, mostly because no candidate is going to align with every stance you hold. It's a flaw of the two party system, but the answer isn't refusing to participate. All that shows people is you're cool with life getting very scary for millions of LGBTQ folks, women, immigrants because you can't compromise on an issue that the other side is more draconian on anyway. It's very possible this isn't the only genocide you'll need to worry about if Trump takes power again and I wouldn't take that so lightly.
