Thank you for demonstrating my point! It's actually not "Replacement Fertility". A LOT of people make that mistake. It's actually "Replacement Rate" because the people who constructed it thought that'd make it clear it's several variables all rolled into one. Clearly, they were wrong.

It's a bit like a 100 year Flood Plane in that it's a singular metric designed to clearly communicate a complex topic into a easy to understand metric. It actually accomplished the opposite. Yet we keep inexplicably using it.
