From reading this:
First of all the approval of the ETF is ALMOST certain, but not guaranteed. It's probably in your best interest to keep an eye on any official announcement. Also, Grayscale holds about 3 million ETH, representing 2.5% of what is available for trading in the open market. It's a significant amount, but less than their Bitcoin holdings.
The initial odds of approval for the eth ETF are priced lower, compared to the Bitcoin ETF. Initially, the ETF won’t offer staking options, which might make it less attractive to TradFi investors who prefer yield-generating products.
However, if it does get approved expect a significant marketing push, which will influence early investor interest. Also, the macroeconomic + political environment at the time of the launch, is going to impact the ETF's performance a lot.
What we don't know is the exact launch date and the volume of investments, along with market sentiment.
So basically what can be concluded from this, is that it might be a good idea to play defensively in the near future.
