Good general advice for talking about Bitcoin - only talk about it if someone asks you about it, or asks you what you have you money in. General public is too biased against Bitcoin at this point to not react negatively to someone bringing up the topic of Bitcoin.

If someone asks me how I retired so early I will usually just say good investments and being frugal, which are true statements. If they pry deeper only then will I tell them my money is in Bitcoin. And I don't say anything more about it unless they then start asking about Bitcoin. Cuz you never know who is gonna suddenly verbally attack you or think negatively of you simply for mentioning Bitcoin, but lots of people will. Maybe in 10 or 20 years there won't be so much bias against Bitcoin and talking about it will be as ordinary as talking about the dollar or gold or the Dow Jones, but we're still a long ways away from that now.
