You don't seem to understand how statistics work.

Sure on a broad scale. But it's not uniform or universal. Inflation is still an issue, prices are still way up, and cost of living is squeezing a lot of people's budgets.

And this is the part where you say the thing that ticks people off. For many people their pay has NOT kept up with the increasing prices. It's really insulting to have somebody point at a broad statistic and tell them how much better off they are individually. That's not how statistics work. Many people are much worse off than they were a few years ago. They watch their bank account draining more and more each month and then have politicians idiotically spewing nonsense like this on tv telling them how great they're doing. And then there's confusion about why they don't like that politician?
