When I left, BD got in trouble. They had to do recalls, because their devices were injuring people. There was a class action lawsuit from employees at another location regarding treatment and payment. BD lost and so there was a settlement. Every month there was a stupid meeting called the All Hands Meeting where the supervisors and hire ups would try to emotionally manipulate us by telling us that we the assemblers mattered and showed us pictures of injured and ill people BD devices had helped. They said our job saved lives. All the meanwhile they didn't give a shit about us. There were times when the devices would catch on fire. There was an earthquake. I asked them if we were going to do emergency drills. They said yes but we never did any.
