Is this a joke?
Hitler was initially elected. He was given control over his country's military and police forces and used them to suppress his opposition so he could become a dictator.
You're watching Trump and his party express the same sentiments and you're wondering whether or not you should vote for the other guy? You even had a 4 year trial period to demonstrate just how badly he could screw up your country and that wasn't enough for you to oppose him in the only way you can.
False equivalences are destroying reasonable debate. The Democrats are far from perfect. But they are objectively better than the Republicans. If there is a path towards the functioning democracy you crave, it's them. Or at least it's possible for your ideas to exist and gain acceptance within that party, while you'd be laughed out of the GOP. You owe it to yourself and your country to utterly reject the party that is worse.
Vote. Shift the Overton Window. Your nihilism is helping no one, and your advocacy for it is actively harmful to your democracy.
