I'm curious about what should be in the first place when making an investing decision. I am an amateur investor and have noticed that there are 2 types of people around me, those who look at what sectors are hot these days and go for it, and those who only buy in specific exuberant industry shares that they are more familiar with. And I would like to know what information is urgently needed when venturing into an unfamiliar area.
