I am from the future and NVDIA goes down after earnings here is why:
1. Beating estimates is priced in, if anything, its over-priced in (if that's a term). Everyone including Wendys employees knows who NVDIA is and what they make, they also know Google, Meta, pretty much any tech company on the planet has placed order for their chips 2. When the talking heads on MSNBC, Bloomberg tell you they have been trimming at ATH, and earnings might be ATH, you should listen. Your calls will be locked overnight, but they can trim Shares overnight while you hold your flaccid calls, so by morning, any erect action right after earnings is going to look like a flaccid wind sock, which they will gleefully watch you suck it. 3. Options with short expiries are like gambling, its like if Mike Tyson was to fight a one legged 80 year old next Saturday, the odds would be 1B to 1, small chance Mike Tyson slips and knocks himself out, but its obvious everyone knows Mike would win. Which is reflected on the cost of these options, they are absolutely stupid, if you bought them over the last 7 days, you are more likely to lose money than earn money even if guidance and estimates are good. 4. Analyst damn near can tell how many orders NVDIA has for the next few quarters, they have priced in their projections, and earnings isn't the catalyst, its the new chip coming out and how well it actually performs on the ground. So the 1200 price targets are a longer term play, your short term plays will be flaccid and worthless.
