"text": "Lightning hasn’t fixed BTC\n\nI think some people have already accepted that BTC is a store of value and is as unsuitable for real world use as a brick of gold.\n\nBut I still regularly hear people say “lightning fixes this” or similar. If I scrolled far enough through my history I’d probably find that in my own comments.\n\nBut, It doesn’t.\n\nI tried to receive a lighting payment and found out BlueWallet’s lightning node was shutdown last year.\n\nMuun, one of the most well known wallets says I can’t receive lightning payments [because of network congestion](https://postimg.cc/hzzypJML). (Wasn’t that exactly what lightning was supposed to fix?)\n\nThe future is in L1s with high capacity. That isn’t debatable.",
