My sir, now you’re just making up things. I never claimed 33% nor did I claim to make a factual statement. I was saying when you factor in state, local taxes and now I’ll add in healthcare cost, it’s more like 30% for an income at that level.

You missed the whole point of my comment (and who I was replying to) re: lower income individuals paying a much higher percentage of their income than someone with billions. Yes, the billionaire is technically contributing more money at 1% compared to someone at 70k getting taxed 20% or 26% or whatever — in terms of dollars. But it’s a bunk comparison. Billionaires have more income at their disposal vs. someone barely scraping by at 70k and contributing.

But sure, you can continue running with something that was completely besides the point.
