How do taxes affect the money supply?
Does it affect M1, M2 or M3? In what way?
Ad a side note, I don’t think we will ever see a reduction of the federal debt. At this point they are past the point of realistically being able to spend less politically. Ever since 2008 I thought a huge jump in inflation was their plan to decrease the real value of the debt but we must had that huge jump that I have been predicting and instead of leveraging it to clear out some debt they poured gas on it instead. I suppose most of that inflation was a result of the monetary policy and so without the increase in supply there wouldn’t have been as much inflation.
