If you are trading overnight - there is very little to no liquidity and spreads are very wide. Especially on someplace like Robinhood. Robinhood only provides access to one ATS which is BOATS. I don't even know if there are even any market makers offering liquidity.

If you are trading an ETF - there are also no APs active.

So - it's just a bunch of inexperienced amateurs throwing stuff around. I think that Ibkr may connect their ATS to BOATS to add liquidity - so you probably also have a bunch of experienced retail traders who may take advantage of mispricing introduced by the amateurs on Robinhood.

Robinhood offering overnight trading is just another gimmicky service.

If you are asking these types of questions - you probably don't know enough about trading to be trying your luck on illiquid trading sessions.

If you really want to try to trade overnight - stick to more liquid products.
