There has always been a low rumble of political violence throughout American history. But usually it was distributed and disparate. The militias of the 80's and 90's were just small groups of friends that shot targets in the woods and complained about the government/Jews/blacks/immigrants in isolation.

Today though the internet allows these separated cells of unrest to find each other, and they have a singular leader who says the same things that they do in the same way that they do.
