If you pay attention to how corporations operate and what kind of things they are excited about or roll out with no consent before law can catch up with them, it's hard to be excited. The world is already full of low effort attempts to scam or make money with minimal effort.

AI makes this worse. Most journalists, writers, programmers, and web designers were already pretty rocky at their jobs. Now they are forced to use AI to speed up work flow regardless of what it does to quality because otherwise random people who've entered the industry 3 months ago can start to catch up and compete with experienced work - or they can be outright replaced because authenticity and quality is not a metric their employers care about. Overworked people in an economy that is doing everything it can to make life more difficult for them now having to compete with technology is overall not enjoyable.

Some people have spent their entire lives pursuing art or music, those people are now at risk too.

Sure, you can say on the surface level that this is a good thing and the technology is useful.

That doesn't mean I have to like it.
