This seems weirdly myopic and romanticizing a move backwards. I'm on board with reducing useless consumer bullshit and wasteful excess. But permaculture farming? Ignoring tech necessities or services we can't reasonably learn/acquire ourselves?

As much as the rules of society have tilted against us, there ARE reasons the construct took hold. Stepping 600 years backwards doesn't seem like the right answer.
