No they are not. Hymenoptera comprise ants, wasps, bees and sawflies but that does NOT mean ants are wasps, idk what stupid ass source you have for that. You could be a bit more technical and focus on the Apocrita suborder which is just ants, wasps and bees, but the same holds.
