This is why I can't stand Dan Abrams' views on cops (News Nation host). Yeah, sure, he'll call out cops when it's undeniable they did something wrong and everyone else agrees that it's wrong, but he'll always start off not straddling the fence but with both feet firmly planted on the lawn of the cops. He'll whine and complain about how poorly cops are being treated, and that's his default. If he actually was as moderate in his perspective as he always loves to brag that he is (and as much as News Nation as a whole loves to brag that they are), he'd instead start every conversation around cops with the good and the bad, and that would include issues like this one right here, with people like this poor young man who was shot dead just for holding a knife in one hand. There's a serious sickness running through police departments in this country just as much as there is an issue with labelling all cops as being out to get you, poorly trained and so on.

But definitely, the sickness needs to be addressed, too.
