Are commodities no longer included in the calculation of inflation? Are we now focusing on an "ultra core" measure that excludes even more than the "super core" measure? I don't think the Federal Reserve would care much, as they are keen on cutting rates. However, it's interesting to note that global commodity prices have risen while inflation rates have decreased.
