Are commodities no longer included in the calculation of inflation? Are we now focusing on an "ultra core" measure that excludes even more than the "super core" measure? I don't think the Federal Reserve would care much, as they are keen on cutting rates. However, it's interesting to note that global commodity prices have risen while inflation rates have decreased. Despite this, people still expect inflation to come down more quickly.
