Say for example I bought 1000 shares at $2 per share. It fell to $1.5 and I bought 1000 more. It fell to $1 and I bought 1000 more. It then goes up to $1.5 and I sell all positions in order to break even. I find myself doing this often but I heard it was an illegal forex trading strategy. Mot sure if this applies to stocks though.

Please forgive my ignorance if there is any. Thanks a bunch
