I think the easiest way to demonstrate this is showing housing. The house I bought in 2018 I could not afford today if I was in the same level of profession (even adjusted for wage inflation (75k vs 90k today). Then compare this to  boomers who road 40 years of interest cut asset inflation who don’t understand the new reality. My step mom was a single mom with 2. Kids who worked at a gas station and was able to cash flow a house 30 years ago.
