Story time:

Can’t name any alt coins or won’t name any coins you think would be a good fun $50-$500 investment to hold n forget? Like I did with doge… and bitcoin before that… Just curious… way back I was mining doge on Binance, Kucoin, Gate.io, and one other I forget name of right now. This is before there was any sort of hype or anything around doge… it was just a random coin I had found that was super cheap and also cheap to mine and the plan was to eventually swap for bit or lite or eth or xrp or whatever I was into at the time. Side story: I was able to pay for my wedding and my wife (now of 5+ years’ engagement ring). After I sold my initial earnings from following a telegram my bro in law connected me with (which actually was legit - his best man was the nelkboys manager and it was set up thru them) and paid for all my current expenses, I totally lost interest in crypto (I have adhd and pick up and drop hobby’s and side projects so fast it’s crazy). Anyway, I never sold nor converted any of the millions of doge I had mined… now I cannot access my old binance account, nor can I get back into my old kucoin or gate.io and there was one other one I was on heavily too… but at some point they restricted it for US residents… I had a stroke in late 2019, well series of strokes 3 and then 2 more big ones and focused on my health (I was 33yo at the time) this would not be the first crypto I have lost in the deep interweb(3)s. Bitcoin also purchased in 2013/2014. F if I can remember what I used to purchase. Living in Costa Rica, heard about it and bought $450 worth. That is long gone as well… although some nights I stay up late researching where i might possibly have purchased it through… Anyway, if anyone knows how one might be able to get back into my old binance account or even kucoin or gate.io… gate.io allows me to enter my username and password, although my 2step authentication app is set up thru one of the few dozen phones I had from 2015 to 2019 and apparently that is a thing. I set up my new verification app but gate.io won’t take the passwords generated. Also with binance… I was considering using a VPN but I do NOT want to get locked out for good… I just want to get in and transfer them to a new account i can create for binance.US or whatever it is now for us Americans. America always gotta have their fingers in the citizens cookie jars. So much for defi ha… [sorry this was so jumpy and confusing - blame it on my adhd or better yet one of the strokes].

Any advice is greatly appreciated - mostly about the VPN… as I do still have my keys and all that login fun stuff… Worried a little about the 2step authentication app part but first gotta see if it’s even possible the account still exists or if it was terminated once they cut off the US… whenever that went down ha
