More competitive? So they could build a new more efficient factory for example? So take out a loan?

But how do they pay back a loan in bitcoins?

The lender will want interest, else why take the risk. You also wrote that you are against profiting from interest free loans, so this is even part of the appeal to you.

So the loan increases. But bitcoin gets more valuable so all things being equal a company makes less profits each year and pays its workers less coins.

But the loan is getting bigger! They can never pay off this loan. So no one would lend to them. So they aren't getting a new factory.

I mean, it's very easy to write that they'll "have to be more competitive" but when you start thinking about how this is achieved and how a company meets its obligations it falls apart *very* quickly.

There are so many holes. I can sit here all day. A company buys components/materials for the product at 0.9 bitcoin in advance. Hoping to sell the product at 1. But thanks to deflation the product can now only sell at 0.9. The company's profit is wiped out. What's more, it took a loan to buy the materials and now owes more, because we don't like interest free loans. The lender calls in the debt and the company collapses.

Bonkers.
