If amazon replaced Alexa with an AI version of Elvis, I don't think the courts would throw out the case if Elvis's estate sued - the commercial, social, and political impacts of having no restriction on how you use someone's "likeness" (will they count voice mimicry or will a new law have to be made) are pretty self evident.

I don't know where I fully fall on the issue- but I don't see a world in which our government/corporations would simply allow anyone to use AI recreations of other's to profit off of. Whether or not new legislation covers the grey areas or not, we'll see.
