I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about war crimes. But the leading experts in humanitarian law seem to believe it is a war crime.
Like you, I let the experts be the experts. There is no reason for me to have an opinion on climate change because my opinion doesn't matter it's only the opinion of experts that matter. I generally feel that way about all topics that require an expert.
But it is my opinion that it is the role of soldiers to fight for their country and die for their country. Soldiers are put in harm's way all the time by their countries. If you're reluctance to have your soldiers injured leads to a humanitarian crisis and that is a problem. Nobody wants their soldiers to die, and nobody wants to put them in harm's way unnecessarily but if putting your soldiers in harm's Way is the only way you you can protect civilians from a humanitarian crisis then that's what you do. Israel cannot take actions that worsen a humanitarian crisis and then walk away from it.
