For everyone bemoaning the wealthy I'd like to point out, it's never been easier for the middle class or really anyone to invest in the same assets rich people do. You can buy stocks, etfs and index funds from the toilet on your phone and in tiny increments without fees.

But that would mean people would have to stop buying dumb shit like $80,000 pickup trucks and boats and living in a sea of debt.

As for 40,000, it means that at some point in the future, it will more than likely hit 50,000 and then 60,000 and I will be glad I've been buying all along on the ups and the downs.
