If you are talking about the blm protests, some of the riots WERE started by undercover cops. There’s literally a video of an undercover cop smashing sidewalk with a sledgehammer and trying to get the people around him to throw the pieces at the cops. As for the general violence those days, the vast majority of it was started by cops in riot gear attacking peaceful protesters, random people looking out their windows, and generally anyone who had the misfortune of encountering them. This includes a woman who was driving home with her kids and turned on to a street that a bunch of cops were much down. They instructed her to back and leave, and when she tried to do so they swarmed her car, smashed the windows and dragged her and children out while beating them with batons. Including her toddler. One of the cop unions posted a photo of the woman’s toddler with a smiling cop with a caption claiming that they’d found him walking the streets barefoot and saved him. Which was immediately deleted after the actual story came out a few hours later.
