Good to know someone else shares the same problem. Since actively investing, I'd put off replacements and upgrades as long as things worked. Just trying to squeeze for more funds to invest even though I already had a set amount transferred away every month. Reading Die With Zero helped somewhat, along with somethings that happened in the family over the course of last year.

Now I have a separate throwaway-money fund where I throw all the monthly surplus in. Whatever I have inside is the amount I allow myself to splurge. Preparing for the future is good and well but you got to live a little in the present too.
