I think this is the main point of the article - Israel sees the situation with Iran as very time-sensitive; if they wait to strike, Iranian nuclear capabilities will be too far underground for them to do anything to stop them. If sanctions fail and Israel doesn't strike, I'm afraid the US may be dragged in to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities.
