Yeah that's true. Also, since the gold standard doesn't exist, and only about 5% of the total market cap of USD is actually printed currency, pretty much all money is "imaginary". 95% of USD is entirely digital, and the actual bills/coins in circulation? Well they're only worth what the rest of the world thinks their worth. They are not backed by anything. If all of a sudden nobody wanted them anymore, they'd be worthless. It's no different than Bitcoin 😅. It's really been eye opening to me since I've started investing in BTC.
