Normally your employer/plan contribution has to go to whatever they set up for you. So that will go to Health Equity. Would you put more in to your HSA than what they contribute for you (it’s a great idea to). For that additional amount, sometimes your employer will let you contribute to a separate HSA. That is where you can decide to open a Fidelity HSA and contribute to it, but you will have at least some automatically going to Health Equity which you could then transfer to the Schwab account.

My opinion is to just go the Schwab route. Open a Schwab IRA as well. It’s just as good as Fidelity. For credit cards you can do anything, doesn’t have to be linked back to the brokerage you use.
