Races to watch tonight:

* Georgia Supreme Court. Former Dem Congressman John Barrow is trying to win a seat and this is a _general election_ for some reason. Turnout is very low in Atlanta, though, but it'll be interesting to see where the margins end up. Statewide, 53% of early voters picked up a Republican primary ballot while 47% picked a Dem one, per Georgia Votes https://georgiavotes.com/

* OR-03 (D). Susheela Jayapal, CPC chairwoman Pramila Jayapal's sister, is running for the open seat in this safe Democratic district. Jayapal is actually a local elected official, sitting on the Multnomah county board of commissioners, but there is an avalanche of outside money and it seems like AIPAC is also trying to get one of her primary rivals, Maxine Dexter, elected.

* OR-05 (D). Jamie Macleod-Skinner narrowly lost the general election in 2022 by less than 2 points to now-GOP incumbent Lori Chavez-DeRemer after beating incumbent Democratic Congressman Kurt Schrader in the primary. JMS had previously unsuccessfully run twice to try and primary Schrader, who was considered a centrist/conservative Democrat. This time around, the DCCC has weighed in and invested in state representative Janelle Bynum, who actually beat Chavez-DeRemer at the state level previously. Bynum has benefited from an enormous amount of outside money as well, but the polling was close even in Bynum's own internals as JMS has superior name recognition from her various runs. If she were to win the primary and be elected in the general election, Bynum would be the first Black person to ever represent Oregon in Congress.

* Multnomah County DA. Incumbent DA Mike Schmitt is considered a "progressive prosecutor" and is facing what may be a competitive race to retain his seat from Deputy DA Nathan Vasquez, a former Republican who only switched parties after the 2020 election. I haven't seen any polling on this at all so I have no clue whether this race is competitive, but it was highlighted on Politico this morning and progressive prosecutors have been getting pushback in even extremely blue cities with concerns over crime and homelessness.
