>And you are basically admitting the entire problem w bitcoin. You think it’s an investment. If it’s an investment then it has very little to no utility as a currency.

Do you consider getting paid in or holding dollars an "investment"? Honestly I don't care what you call it, I know long term that holding Bitcoin is better for my purchasing power vs government monies that can be printed by other humans for free.

> Why would you pay for things w bitcoin if you think it’s an investment that will go up in value

I have no interest in spending my Bitcoin any time soon for two main reasons

A) I would be subjected to capital gains taxes B) 99% of humans don't understand why they should want my Bitcoin yet

>I don’t understand the upside of what you’re referring to as 100 percent of control of your money. I’m perfectly happy with using my credit card.

If your government or bank doesn't like what you're spending your money on or who you're trading with or [what you're protesting](https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/22/world/americas/canada-protest-finances.html) - your account gets frozen and you no longer have access to your money. If you can't access your money how will you feed yourself or your family? You can have rose tinted glasses and say "this could never happen to me", but the chances are not zero.

> I walk into a store in New York or Bangkok present my visa and I get my coffee.

And what if you were in Russia, or any of the other "no-no" countries?

>How do you do it with bitcoin?

You download a Bitcoin wallet on your phone or purchase a hardware wallet and I can send you Bitcoin directly with no middle man in between. It is that easy. No permission needed.

>The government has proven itself very adept somehow at seizing bitcoin

If you're a felon and facing life in prison, yeah you'll probably give the government your BTC in order to get a lighter sentence. But you have to give it up yourself or you stored it improperly.

> Bitcoin offers the illusion of control with none of the benefits and ease of use dollars gives you. What’s worse that public ledger is public so everyone can see what you’re doing

This is just a meaningless word salad. Is one of those "benefits" of the dollar you speak of losing purchasing power over time and everything I want to buy being more expensive every year? Yeah, Bitcoin doesn't have that one.

>What’s worse that public ledger is public so everyone can see what you’re doing

Bitcoin's ledger is pseudonymous. If you create a wallet that doesn't require KYC, you can transact relatively anonymously.
