I’d be inclined to agree with you but look at how this started in the first place. They were “doing drills” on the Ukrainian border. Everyone (including Ukrainian officials, mind you) basically told U.S. intelligence/media to chill that they didn’t think Russia would try anything, but look what happened. Now we have tactical nuclear “drills” and if their track record is anything to go off this is the perfect preemptive guise before actually deploying them. People saying Putin would not deploy nuclear weapons are coping — Russia is not like the west. They are entirely different people with entirely different moral compasses.
