Though many of us spend 24/7 thinking about crypto, it’s one small part of what the SEC has to work on. I am sympathetic to the learning curve needed to understand and regulate the space, and there are many dedicated SEC professionals who are doing just this.
As I see it, the main issue is that this process should have been started years back—now we are playing catch-up. I think for many years the approach was “let’s ignore this area; it will probably go away on its own.” That wasn’t the case then, nor is it now. Glad to see the legislative developments we are witnessing in the crypto space; that will create the most tailwind.
We believe that ETH is a commodity.
