Do you honestly believe that? If so what if they paid a million dollar salary? Do you still think Americans would just say nah don't wanna work there. Being hyperbolic of course.
But Americans don't want to work these jobs for what theyre offering, because cost of living is higher. Now in a system where Americans compete against other Americans people would be able to command higher wages because of the law of supply and demand.
But rather than deal with helping employ our countrymen and fellow citizens at reasonable wages people rather internally outsource the work through undocumented labor.
If there's a labor shortage economics says that those who will do the labor should be able to command better wages since there isn't as many as of them.
