I was flying from Hawaii to CA a few weeks ago and they told us as we left that we’d get some bad turbulence, told us when it was about to happen, and had the flight attendants all buckle up right before we hit it. It was pretty intense and sustained, like maybe the worst turbulence I’ve experienced and I fly a lot. During a slight lull while the light was still on two people got up to go to the bathroom and got scolded on the intercom. You could so easily be thrown into a seat or something why risk it?
