Yesterday, I was on the verge of writing a post about gamblers using the Prediction Markets app (Polymarket) to speculate on the likelihood of Ethereum ETF approval by May 31st. Then came bullish news on the possibility of ETH ETF approval.

The news hit like a tsunami: several short trades REKT, liquidating Ethereum short positions worth millions of dollars. Similarly, many gamblers on Polymarket have been gripped by fear. The odds have suddenly moved from a 10% chance to \~61% chance in the "all" time frame.

Polymarket, a prediction market platform, has several bets going on. In addition to crypto-related predictions, many US election-related bets attract interest. One interesting bet I saw was about token airdrops from several crypto projects, including many Ethereum L2 networks such as Blast, ZkSync, Scroll, Swell, etc.
