Iron Dome is great for defending against attacks from poorly equipped non-state actors. But it's not a solution for preventing Russian aggression.

Don't get me wrong. More air defense systems in Ukraine would be helpful. But Europe as a whole doesn't need that.

Once the war in Ukraine ends, whatever is left of Ukraine should join NATO. Article 5 is better and cheaper than Iron Done. If Russia fires a missile at a NATO country, they shouldn't just be intercepted. There should be a proportional military response with a promise of escalation if Russia doesn't unfuck itself.
