Hear me out. I love crypto as the next guy, and I like the original idea of having honest money that the world could use that would level the playing field. Bitcoin WAS supposed to be a way for people to make peer to peer payments with each other, to be money that doesn't inflate its way into being worthless. However, there are big limits that bitcoin has never addressed. The fees, make it impossible to use as peer to peer. They tried to resolve this with the lightning network , but it can also be expensive and is so confusing most people will not bother. Bitcoin is now just a big chunk of gold. Not good for running to the store and filling up the car with. Will it go up in value? More than likely....the way they are printing money, everything will cost more fiat dollars to buy. People trust it as a store of value, or as a way to speculate....nothing more. I have found a way to live off crypto with Dash and Bitrefill. Dash was at a crazy price and was speculated on when it was listed on binance, and then tanked. But it is far and away doing what Bitcoin has failed to do. Instant, super low fees, and more solid. I think we need to be very careful about the future of Bitcoin.
