Oh I see, I thought you meant something specific to savings accounts. Yeah inflation is the invisible tax and is part of what makes the dollar seem scammy. I just see it as rules of the game, and you have to learn how to play.

It's not exactly a secret that they aim to maintain a 2% inflation target in order to keep people working, spending, investing, etc. With something like BTC, they aren't able to create that spending force, and deflation is a much more possible threat. Without printing money after covid, we would have had a major depression and the economy would be worse than what it is today.

(Not justifying how much they printed, just stating what happened.)
