Hoo boy. I’m relatively new to investing, but to my knowledge, these ain’t great things for people wanting stability.
I don’t think these are as beneficial as you think they are.
As for fiat currency being a scam, well…duh. Like the number zero, it’s the communal lie that keeps the world going around: it may not be based on anything physical like gold, but it works because everyone understands that it has to work.
A wise man once explained that fiat currency isn’t based on gold but something that is worth more than gold: the output of the country that’s issued it. In our case, the United States, which is a giant gold bar that gets bigger every day.
